A web and mobile developers switch from Windows to OS X

I have been using Windows since win 95, I have some experience with Linux on servers, and a little bit on desktop. I am switching over from a quite powerful stationary htpc computer with Intel i5 3570K, to a Mac… This is the first time I am using a Mac as a daily driver. After using a late 2013 MacBook Pro 13″ “retina” for about 30 days, this is my little review, coming from a web and mobile developers perspective.

Open files and folders with Sublime Text 3 from the OS X Terminal

If you are using Sublime Text 3 on your mac, you may want to be able to open files and folders in Sublime via the Terminal? How to remove Dashboard in OS X Mavericks

If you want to remove the “Dashboard” screen from the Mission Control view in OS X Mavericks, Open a Terminal, and run these two commands: defaults write com.apple.dashboard mcx-disabled -boolean YES killall Dock If you later want to have Dashboard back, you use the same commands, only with NO at the end of the first one, instead of YES.
